NATO and the current European Security Challenges
Plats: Medelhavsmuseet, Fredsgatan 2 Stockholm

The Russian illegal annexation in Crimea and its proxy war in Ukraine have dramatically changed the security landscape. As a direct result of this, NATO has implemented its biggest reinforcement of its collective defence since the end of the cold war. The NATO Response Force will double up to 30 000 troops and command units are being set up in the Eastern Allies.
What are the main security challenges of today, from a NATO perspective? How will the Alliance address the many different elements of security challenges, and how have the member states responded when it comes to national defence spending? Also, after having joined the Enhanced Opportunities Partners program, how will Sweden deepen the cooperation with the Alliance?
On the occasion of the visit of the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Mr Alexander Vershbow, Folk och Försvar cordially invites you to a seminar about the current security challenges, NATO’s response and Sweden’s contributions.
